I'M NOT going to rant about Starmer’s five ‘missions’ which are so laughable they don’t deserve to be given any attention; or the broken pledges; or welcoming lying Luciana Berger back into the party, or so many other things.


What I want to say is that we must not even consider voting Labour. If we do we are telling Starmer that he has done well, that we are happy with the direction of the Party, we would be validating every one of his despicable decisions since becoming leader.


He will not change when in power. He has shown us what he is: a lying, authoritarian fraud. He expels people for little to no reason, he changes rules when it suits him - do you really think he would not do this if he became PM? He would, but he would have more power, the power to hurt all of us.


Our only hope is for Labour to be demolished at the next GE. Only then will the Party see that they have indeed moved in the wrong direction and that we do indeed have someone else to vote for. (In case you’re wondering there is Socialist Party, Left Unity, TUSC, Breakthrough, and others.)


You’re worried about the Tories getting back in. Of course, none of us like what has been happening to the country under them. But let us be clear, Starmer and his front bench have given no indication at all that they would do much different, and they were all more than happy to allow the Tories back in if it would stop Corbyn.


And centrists are not asking themselves why this was so. Because he would have changed things. He would have done everything possible to make this a better society, a better country, a better world. The establishment, of which Starmer is very much a part of, couldn’t allow that to happen. And so, amongst others, the PLP worked against a Labour win. They want us to reward them for condemning us to more Tory rule?


Starmer has more in common with the Tories than he does with anyone on the left. How can anybody be at ease voting for that?


The PLP is our enemy as much as the Tories are and we need to show them that we recognise this.


I will not be voting Labour. #NeverLabour

  ON 6th February 1992 I was doing the late stint as News Editor at a newspaper in Gloucester. There was no lead story for the morning and I was tearing my hair out and harassing the reporters who were also on lates, when two policemen walked into our offices and I broke out into a big grin, thinking they must have a good story for us. But after greeting them they checked my name and then asked if Paul Williams was my husband. My smile faded a little as I answered in the affirmative. They then told me he’d been involved in an accident and could I come with them. Fine, no problem. I wasn’t overly worried as they said it was ‘his legs’ and I just thought of broken legs, which is not good but also not the end of the world, and one of the risks of riding motorbikes daily as we both did. COMING HOME - AND WHY I NEED HELP

         Happier days. A few years after Paul's accident.   I’D like to explain why I need help for anyone who may think I have been living on the Costa del Sol or something similar. I haven’t. I have been working (in a town just outside of Murcia city) and living in what can only be described as awful circumstances for a few years now. The first year here I had a contract so things were okay. But then I had to find alternative work - I teach ESL - and the only work going was with an academy where I couldn’t get a contract, so am just paid by the hour and as I’m classed as self-employed I pay my own Social Security which, after the first year when you pay about 80€ a month no matter what you earn, has gone up to 316€ a month which is almost half my wages. I get 8€ an hour and do not get sick pay or holiday pay even when   the academy (as all academies here do) closes down in summer. “MY DAD” – STARMER’S SPEECH IN A NUTSHELL

STARMER’S first speech to conference, apart from apparently having been designed to send those listening to sleep, was peppered throughout with talk of “my dad” and occasionally his mum too, his speech writer obviously thinking it might relate to those of us who work for a living. I’m not even going to try to count how many times he mentioned his dad, but if you weren’t listening (and if you weren’t I envy you) it was a lot. But there was more. Honest guv. According to what has to be one of the most inept leaders Labour has ever had, the NHS is facing a big “moment’ and all schoolchildren should take part in competitive sports. I’m finding it difficult to contain my excitement. He is going to solve every problem, from police to education to the climate crisis. It will surely be the utopia we all expected after Brexit had been implemented. Though he didn’t really say just how these problems would be solved, but I guess that might be in danger of being an actual policy. You’ll be pleased
