  MITT ROMNEY, yeah that Republican, ex-governor, failed presidential candidate, very active in his church Mitt Romney, has said “Putin’s Ukraine invasion is the first time in 80 years that a great power has moved to conquer a sovereign nation”. Ummm… Nicaragua ? Invaded and occupied by the US in the early part of the twentieth century plus the US meddling in its affairs to ensure a right wing government. Much the same in El Salvador where Reagan was concerned about the civil war and the leftist rebels, despite the government and its military being known for abuses against citizens. And it should be noted that Reagan also held the opinion that the then USSR was behind the rebels in both countries. Make no mistake, the USSR/Russia has forever been the bogeyman of the USA.   AWWW, how can we not all love Prince Andrew? Giving money to a woman he apparently has never met. Isn’t that just what we expect from the always-giving royal family? I am awaiting a knock on my door right now to see how much I’ll be getting. I don’t get this hatred of that lovely family, people calling for a republic etc. Do they expect queenie to just go off and live in only one mansion for the whole of the year? Who amongst you does not wonder which of your homes you will travel to in order to stave off the cold of winter, or even to go to for a spot of good old-fashioned hunting of animals who probably shouldn’t be on their/your land anyway?   IF any socialists are still members of the Labour Party I can only assume they are masochists. I truly see no other reason for it. The PLP have shown us they will not accept socialism and have suspended and indeed have expelled many socialists. So why are some still there? Perhaps out of loyalty to a party they have always believed in. I don’t know. I was a member for more than 40 years but left when Starmer was elected leader. I knew his history and didn’t like him; however, I certainly didn’t expect him to turn out to be almost Stalinist in his actions to members. Labour does not have my loyalty any longer, and should not have the loyalty of any socialist. I have heard a few say they are staying as members solely because it will annoy Starmer. But why?   DOES anything say establishment quite like all the blue ticks, media pundits, centrists and even Tory MPs rushing out to condemn the ‘attack’ on Keir Starmer? I put attack in quotes because it was hardly that; he had police surrounding him – and wasn’t that a lucky thing that they were on hand to do so – and he was shouted at.
